The guests of this select trip will start with a 6 Day trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro, at 5895 meters, the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. The trek will be carefully arranged so that the summit day climb to the “roof of Africa”, starting at midnight, will be illuminated by the Full Moon, an eerily beautiful and unique experience. From Uhuru Peak, guests will enjoy a breathtaking view as the cool light of the moon gives way to bright fire as the sun rises above a sea of clouds.

Great Migration Safari
February 3 - 8
Luxury Tent Accommodation
Next the elite group will undertake a 6 Day Safari, beginning in Tarangire National Park, where the largest land animal, the African Elephant, is dwarfed by the parks enormous baobab trees. Then off to the Serengeti to witness one of the worlds most incredible wildlife wonders, the Great Migration. The group will spend three days observing the millions of herding zebra and wildebeest make their seasonal pilgrimage south through lion prowled savanna and crocodile infested rivers, to bear young by the thousands daily in the fertile plains. This spectacle of life is truly awesome and unparalleled throughout the world. The journey will finish with an excursion down into Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage site and the largest natural Caldera in the world. The crater is a fascinating natural phenomenon, and home to the largest population of the elusive Black Rhino and the greatest density of large predators in the wild.

Maasai Cultural Excursion
February 9 - 10
Luxury Tent Accomodation
Despite experiencing the most incredible natural wonders Tanzania has to offer, our guests will have yet to undergo the most rewarding part of their trip. One World Safari Tours contractually donates 10 percent of all revenue to support community development through the Tanzanian non-profit organization Wewe na Maasai (WeMa); for this special trip, that donation will be doubled. The guests will be taken to the site of WeMa’s current project, Esilalei Primary School, to see first hand how their ultimate vacation is also enriching the local community. There the guests will personally distribute the school supplies and mosquito nets their trip paid for to the grateful students of this rural, predominantly Maasai primary school. After the visit, guests will go to a Maasai village to learn about the traditional life of this iconic tribe. They will see how Maasai construct their mud huts, or bomas, hear how the men keep their herds safe from lions, and help the women make beautiful beaded jewelry.
